Jardinage

This past spring and summer I have learned so much about gardening at Louis’s country house. I sure hope to have my own garden someday… what a dream that would be. But as this cold comes abruptly in, the tomatoes in this garden are not surviving.

Looks like we are moving into the winter goods.

What are your favorite winter veggies? What do you make with them?

P.S. This is the garden where Olivia had a field day and taught me some delicious recipes like this one and this one. Drooling?

G&T’s Really Really Nice Place

Prepare yourself… this place is indeed really really nice! The name of the joint had me at hello.

I found this place oh so randomly while surfing for cupcake shops in Amsterdam [since I am a loser]. As soon as I found it I made a reservation for a Saturday morning brunch while on my trip to visit a pal, which turned out to be heavenly and my favorite place discovered on this little trip to the city of canals.

G&T’s is in the northern part of the Jordaan district,  to the west of Amsterdam’s central train station. We rode our bikes there that morning from Prinsengracht, and were ready for a delicious meal having heard oh so many things about this treasure. As G&T’s are known for their trendy atmosphere and fab brunches and cocktails, we were anxious to give it a try. I’m still dreaming of the lemon & ginger tea I had there, it gave me so many ideas. Oy would I love to have some kind of event there.

The tables and chairs are mix and match along with the dishes and cutlery. Pure adorableness. Imagine the explosion of a brocante revealing the most perfectly decorated space… with delicious food of great quality and sublime cocktails.

Make a rezo for brunch when you’re in Amsterdam next (all reservations are done via email). You won’t regret it. If you need some more details, check out their website and  for more details.

Sunday

This week it has been a bit more chilly. I was thinking about how only the week prior I was picking berries in the Forêt de Meudon. Autumn is officially starting to greet us.

This makes me so excited for autumn.

Do you know kale? Well, there is a snazzy lady trying to find out more about why it’s not present in France. Find out more here.

I could go for raw cocoa truffles.

Wideleg and pattern trousers are in. I dig.

Need the deets on donating your hair?

Did you see the pictures from the Kinfolk picnic not long ago?

I want to go to Amsterdam again.

Potstickers are so good… I would like to try some here.

A new discovery of a place with all things cute.

Rue Orsel

Rue Orsel is one gosh darn charming street in Montmartre. Right below la butte, it is the home of various adorable shops, cafés and beautifully colored doors.
, and Milk are some of my favorite spots on the street.

You can find fantastic goods from the Brittany region of France at and oodles of wonderful Swedish treasures at . Milk is adorable with a delicious brunch. Quite the packed street, eh? It’s dangerous!

I love strolling around this neighborhood to check out the new treasures.

Have you taken a walk down this street?
