PRÊTE-MOI PARIS’S FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY

To celebrate the four years of documentation on her blog, Prête-Moi Paris, Melissa had a little celebration in her Parisian nest.

The evening showcased 5 brands: Sugar Daze Bake Shop, Mon Champagne, Kasia Dietz Handbags,  and Vintage Galerie.

Amongst many familiar faces, I also had the opportunity to meet a few other Parisian bloggers who I had never met prior- off of the digital sphere.

The soirée had pink festivities galore, with precious snacks and girly goodness.

LADIES @ THE CLUB

Parisian summers are hot. Quite hot. Everywhere is hot. So hot. Having a cocktail when the sun goes down often makes you feel perfectly refreshed.

The Club is one of my favorite spots in Paris for drinks. Their cocktails are so unique, but with the classics of course on the menu, and in such a wonderfully decorated space. Not to mention how kind their staff is, holy moly.

This particular night a specific group of girls got together. Contrary to what you may think, the American expat community is pretty tight here in Paris. I feel like we all know each other somehow, or know of each other at least, or maybe even we know someone who knows someone who knows the other person…. and the only thing that was missing was being all together in the same place at the same time. After Lauren’s summertime picnic at Parc Monceau, a new sporadic tradition was born…. spontaneous get togethers. The more the merrier. Ta da!

This hot summer evening, we gathered to enjoy a cocktail or five together. Amongst the crowd were the creative ladies behind Oh la la liviaPrêt à VoyagerThe FrancoflyLove in the City of LightsDiane A BroadSavoir Faire ParisPrête-Moi ParisFolies du BonheurElla CoquineFox in ParisAmbitieuse + a few other fabulous gals that I had the chance to meet. There was some mad mixology going on that night.

My favorite cocktail by the guys at The Club is their classic old fashioned, which is usually my favorite in most bars, but hey, theirs is darn good and the perfect mix of tangy sweet and bitter. It always is so refreshing, and the perfect way to kick off an evening. Cheers to that. Give their snacks a whirl, little club sandwiches or grilled cheese.

Thanks ladies for such a wonderful evening filled with deliciously crafted cocktails.

And if you haven’t stopped by The Club yet, you probably should.

PELOUSE EN FÊTE

This past Sunday was the first day the grass was open in the parks of Paris.

To celebrate the occasion, Lauren organized a big picnic to anyone who felt like joining in Parc Monceau. She crafted the most adorable sets of cutlery and straws and was quite the host. She decked out the park with vases of flowers, adorable blankets and plates full of yummies. I am anxious to see what she does decoration-wise at the Hive next month.

The sun was shining and it was just the perfect start to Spring. People who knew each other closely and also those who had just met mingled and gobbled down delicious picnic grub together, creating good conversation. Parc Monceau was packed with families, friends and lovers and it made it feel like the nice weather is finally here to stay in Paris. Lauren even introduced us non-Aussies to the joys of pavlova. C’était superbe.

I had the chance to soak up some sun with some of my dear friends Olivia, Steph, Courtney and Anne, but also with some new friends for whom Paris is also a stomping ground, CarinEdna, Milsters, Ylenia, Gemma, C, and Diane.

I for one, am anxious for more park time. This winter was far too long.

Special thanks to Lauren for hosting and pimping this fabulous affair.
